My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how luxury can live in daily wardrobes.
Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the privilege of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that perfectly combines a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to offer you expert insights with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m diving into a bunch of common questions, as well as where to score deals on them, in the sections below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
I blackgoldengoosesneakers.com found mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
Check out my list below. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
They required minimal break-in time.
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
